Cambridge Pavers Windows & Doors: The San Antonio Owner’s Guide
If you have a Cambridge Pavers product and a window or door component has failed, we can match the part, source the OEM or a quality aftermarket equivalent, and install it for a typical San Antonio price of $4,500 to $15,000 depending on the unit and scope. Most owners discover the failure the same way: a window that won’t seal against July humidity, a door that catches on the frame after our clay soil shifts, or glass that fogged between the panes after a decade of Texas sun. We’ll confirm exactly what you have, quote the part and labor in writing, and get the replacement scheduled before you lose another degree of indoor air to a south-facing wall.

Sawyer Remodel San Antonio is an independent service provider, not affiliated with Cambridge Pavers. That matters because we’re not here to push one brand’s catalog at you, we’re here to fix the opening correctly the first time.
Which Cambridge Pavers Models This Applies To

Cambridge Pavers builds paver systems and a range of hardscape and exterior opening components, and the windows and doors spec depends heavily on the product line and the year it was installed. The biggest compatibility gotcha we see in San Antonio: an owner assumes the replacement part is universal, but the jamb depth, glass pack thickness, and frame profile vary between the residential lines and the heavier commercial-grade units. You can’t swap a component based on “it looks the same” and expect it to seat properly.
Before calling, look for a label on the frame edge or inside the hinge channel. The model number and the four-digit date code are what we use to pull the right spec. If the label is faded or painted over, we can work from the rough opening dimensions and the existing hardware pattern. For most Cambridge Pavers-compatible units, a quality aftermarket sash or panel performs as well as the OEM part and costs 20 to 30 percent less. Where we’ll always recommend OEM is on the glass pack itself: the Low-E coating and gas fill are calibrated to the original frame, and aftermarket glass in an OEM frame is where we see condensation problems start.

Signs Your Cambridge Pavers Windows & Doors Is Failing
- Condensation between the glass panes. The seal on the insulated glass unit has failed. Once the desiccant inside the spacer is saturated, the fogging won’t clear on its own and the only real fix is a new glass pack.
- The door drags or binds against the frame. In San Antonio, this is usually the clay-heavy soil under the slab shifting with wet and dry seasons. The door slab itself may be fine, but the frame has moved out of square and the hardware is now fighting it.
- The window won’t lock or the crank spins without moving the sash. The operator mechanism or the locking assembly has stripped. On Cambridge Pavers-compatible units, this is the most common mechanical failure after five to seven years in our climate.
- You feel air moving around the frame even when the unit is closed. Weatherstripping has compressed or the frame has shifted. It’s an energy problem now and a moisture problem later.
- Visible rot or peeling at the sill corners. Water has been sitting where it shouldn’t. On the exterior openings of a Cambridge Pavers application, the sill is the first place we find damage from San Antonio’s hard rain and long dry spells alternating against the wood or composite.
Replacement Cost & What’s Included
For a Cambridge Pavers-compatible window or door replacement in San Antonio, installed pricing runs from $4,500 for a single standard window to $15,000 for a full door assembly with sidelights and a new frame. A mid-range window with a quality aftermarket sash and basic trim work lands between $5,500 and $9,000. A full door replacement, including pulling the old frame, correcting the rough opening, and setting the new unit with new hardware, starts around $6,000 and climbs with glass area and finish grade.
Every quote includes the part, all labor, disposal of the old unit, and a written price before we pick up a tool. There’s no change order waiting at the end. The work carries our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if it’s not done right, we make it right, in writing, for a full year after the job closes.

AfterDIY or Call Us?
There are a few safe checks an owner can do before calling: read the label to get the model and date code, measure the rough opening top to bottom and side to side, and take a photo of the failure so we can see exactly what we’re matching. What we don’t recommend is pulling a window or door yourself. These are load-bearing openings. A door with glass in it can weigh 200 pounds, and a window that’s not flashed and sealed correctly will leak, and in San Antonio, it will leak into your framing where you won’t see it until the damage is real.
If the component involves tempered glass, a gas-filled insulated unit, or anything structural around the opening, that’s a job for a trained crew. We do this work every week across San Antonio, and we’d rather quote it for you than come fix a bad DIY removal later. Call us at (432) 547-6806 and we’ll get you a written number.
FAQs

In our climate, expect 15 to 20 years from a well-installed unit before the seals, hardware, or frame start showing real age. South and west-facing openings fail faster because of direct sun. The installation quality matters more than the brand name.
It depends on what failed. A stripped operator, a bad lock, or compressed weatherstripping is a repair and often under $400 in parts. A fogged glass pack or a rotted frame corner means replacing that component, not patching it. Call us at (432) 547-6806 and we’ll tell you which one you’re dealing with before any money changes hands.
Most single-unit replacements in San Antonio take one day, including removal, setting, trim, and cleanup. A full door assembly with a new frame and sidelights can run into a second morning depending on the rough opening condition.
We stock common operators, locking assemblies, weatherstripping profiles, and standard glass pack sizes on the truck. Special-order components ship in a few days, and we also carry parts for KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone installations. Call us at (432) 547-6806 and we’ll confirm what we have for your specific unit.
