Cambria Bathroom Remodeling: The San Antonio Owner’s Guide
A Cambria bathroom remodel in San Antonio typically runs $9,000 to $28,000 installed, and we complete most full bathroom overhauls in 2 to 4 weeks once materials land. You found this page because something in your existing setup failed or stopped looking right – a cracked vanity top, a shower surround that’s pulling away, a threshold that’s letting water seep where it shouldn’t. We handle the whole rebuild, from tearing out the old Cambria surface to setting the new one with a written price in your hand before demo day.

Here’s what San Antonio homeowners usually see before they call us: grout lines darkening along the shower base, a hairline crack running across the countertop near the sink cutout, or the telltale soft spot in the subfloor under the vanity. Cambria is quartz – tough but not indestructible – and when the substrate fails, the surface follows.
Which Cambria Models This Applies To

Cambria doesn’t sell “models” the way an appliance brand does. What you have is a Cambria design series – the color and pattern name – cut to your vanity, shower walls, or tub deck from a full slab. The compatibility question is about thickness and profile: Cambria slabs come in 1cm, 2cm, and 3cm, and your new pieces need to match the existing thickness or the reveal lines will never sit flush.
We work with every Cambria design currently on the market and most retired ones, from the white-heavy Brittanica series to the darker Roxwell and Blackwood lines. The gotcha: Cambria won’t sell directly to a homeowner. Every slab moves through a certified fabricator. If you try to source a matching remnant yourself, you’ll hit that wall fast. We already have the fabricator network in place, so the remnant you need – or a matching full slab – is something we can actually pull.
Aftermarket alternatives exist, but here’s the honest read: a non-Cambria quartz that “looks close” won’t match in direct light. Quartz is pigmented in batches. Close isn’t close enough when the seam runs down the middle of your shower wall. We’ll quote OEM Cambria first, and only offer an alternative if your design is discontinued and you tell us you’d rather save the money than chase a match.
Related brands we stock parts and materials for: KraftMaid, Silestone, and Kohler.

Signs Your Cambria Bathroom Remodeling Is Failing
- Crack running from the sink cutout toward the backsplash. This isn’t a cosmetic flaw. It means the cabinet underneath has shifted or the cutout was hogged too tight during fabrication. The crack will keep walking until the piece breaks fully.
- Dark lines where the shower wall panels meet the pan. Water is wicking behind the seam. Cambria itself doesn’t absorb water, but the silicone joint below it does fail – and once moisture gets behind the panel, you’re looking at mold in the framing.
- Vanity top overhangs are chipping at the front edge. San Antonio’s hard water isn’t the cause here. This is usually impact damage from drawers or cabinet doors slamming against an undersupported overhang.
- Soft spot when you step near the shower curb. The waterproof membrane under the Cambria threshold has failed. Tile and quartz look fine from above, but the subfloor is rotting underneath.
- Grout crumbling between Cambria pieces within the first year. Movement. The shower pan or the wall framing is flexing. Cambria is rigid; it doesn’t flex with the house. The grout is the first thing to tell you.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

For San Antonio, a Cambria-focused bathroom remodel lands between $9,000 and $28,000 depending on scope. A straight swap – remove and replace a failing vanity top with a new Cambria piece – sits at the lower end. Tearing out a full shower surround, repairing the waterproofing underneath, and reinstalling Cambria wall panels pushes toward the top.
What drives the range:
- Square footage of Cambria surface. Shower walls eat slab fast. A 3×5 shower with full-height Cambria runs two to three slabs before fabrication waste.
- Condition of the substrate. If the framing or waterproofing failed, that’s demolition and rebuild before any quartz goes in. We won’t set Cambria over a compromised pan.
- Thickness matching. If your existing pieces are 3cm and we’re replacing only part of the room, every new piece has to be 3cm. Thicker slab costs more per square foot.
Every quote includes the Cambria material, fabrication, demolition, plumbing adjustments, installation, and haul-away. The price we write down before work starts is the price you pay at the end – no change orders, no surprise line items. And the whole job carries our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if it’s not done right, we make it right. In writing.
DIY or Call Us?
Some things are safe to check yourself. Is the caulk joint around your Cambria shower base pulling away? Are there hairline cracks in the grout lines you can photograph and send us? That’s useful. What’s not safe: prying up a Cambria panel to “see what’s behind it.” Quartz is heavy – a 3cm shower panel can weigh 200 pounds or more – and once you break the seal, you’ve voided any shot at a clean reinstall.
Also, Cambria won’t sell to you directly, so you’re not ordering a matching slab off some website. You’d be guessing at color batches and paying a fabricator to cut pieces that might not fit. We’d rather you call us first at (432) 547-6806 and let us take a look. The estimate is free, and we’ll tell you straight if the fix is a $300 re-caulk instead of a $15,000 rebuild. I’d rather lose the big job than sell you one you didn’t need.
FAQs

Cambria quartz itself will outlast your house if installed on a stable substrate – 25-plus years is realistic. What fails first in San Antonio is almost always the waterproofing or the framing behind it, not the Cambria. Our climate cycles between humid Gulf air and dry Hill Country heat, which flexes framing and opens seams over time. Call (432) 547-6806 if you suspect the substrate is failing – catching it early saves the quartz.
Small chips can be filled and color-matched, and we do that regularly. A structural crack running through the slab cannot be safely repaired – the quartz will continue to fail. If the crack is within 3 inches of a sink cutout or spans more than a third of the piece, replacement is the only honest fix. Call (432) 547-6806 and we’ll tell you which one you’re looking at for free.
Most full bathroom remodels with Cambria surfaces take 2 to 4 weeks once the slab is fabricated and delivered. Fabrication alone runs 1 to 2 weeks depending on the Cambria design and the fabricator’s schedule. We’ll give you a written timeline before we start, and you’ll get photo updates before and after every major step – Luca does a final walkthrough on every job himself, and he won’t leave until it’s square.
No – Cambria is cut to order from full slabs, so there’s no “stocked” Cambria panel anywhere in San Antonio. What we do have is the fabricator relationship to pull your specific design fast, often within 10 to 14 days. Call (432) 547-6806 with your Cambria design name and we’ll give you an exact lead time and a written quote.
The craft comes first. Everything else follows.
