Tremron Fence Installation: The San Antonio Owner’s Guide
Tremron fence installation in San Antonio typically runs $3,500 to $9,000 for a full perimeter, depending on linear footage, gate count, and whether your existing posts can be reused. We stock Tremron-compatible components on our trucks and can usually schedule your install within a week. Most owners discover the problem the hard way: a gate that won’t latch, a panel that’s pulled loose from the post, or a section that leans hard after a storm rolled through.

Tremron isn’t a fence manufacturer in the traditional sense. Tremron is one of the largest concrete paver and retaining wall producers in the Southeast, and their fence panel systems are precast concrete sections that slot into matching posts. When a Tremron wall or fence panel fails in San Antonio, it’s rarely the concrete itself. It’s the footing, the post seat, or the hardware that gave out first. That distinction matters because it changes what the repair actually costs.
We’re an independent service provider, not affiliated with Tremron. That means we’re not tied to factory pricing or factory timelines. We match your existing panel style, pour footings that actually hold in San Antonio soil, and stand behind the work with our written 365-Day Done Right Promise.
Which Tremron Models This Applies To

Tremron’s precast fence line spans a few distinct profiles, and the compatibility gotcha is real: panels from their StoneWall Select series don’t interchange with the older Classic Stone post-and-panel system. The panel thicknesses differ by a half-inch, and the post channels are cut to different depths. If someone throws a Classic panel into a StoneWall post, it seats loose and works itself free inside two seasons.
Here’s what to check before you call: look at the bottom edge of any loose panel. Tremron stamps the series name and a production date code into the concrete. StoneWall Select panels measure roughly 6 feet wide by 2 feet tall by 2 inches thick. Classic Stone runs closer to 1.5 inches thick. If the stamp is worn off, measure the panel thickness. That tells us which line we’re matching.
OEM versus aftermarket is a real decision on this product. Tremron still produces current series panels, but lead times in Texas can stretch to three or four weeks for out-of-stock profiles. Quality aftermarket equivalents from regional precast yards in the San Antonio area are often available in seven days, and they’re cast from the same PSI-rated concrete. For older discontinued profiles, aftermarket is the only option worth pursuing. We’ll show you both prices in writing before you commit.

Signs Your Tremron Fence Installation Is Failing
- Panels lean away from vertical. This is almost always a failed post footing. San Antonio’s clay soil expands and contracts with moisture, and a shallow footing heaves within three to five years. The panel itself is usually fine; the post base is the problem.
- Gate drags or won’t latch. The gate post has shifted, which is a footing problem again, or the hinge bolts have stripped out of the post seat. Tremron posts are precast concrete, so stripped hardware needs epoxy-set anchors, not bigger screws.
- Visible cracks running up the post. Concrete crack from freeze-thaw cycles, and while San Antonio doesn’t freeze often, the February 2021 winter storm proved it happens. A cracked post can’t hold a panel true under wind load.
- Panels rattle in high wind. The post channel was shimmed at install rather than seated properly, and the shims have compressed. The panel now has play, and that play compounds every storm season.
- White mineral staining on panel faces. Efflorescence isn’t structural, but it signals water moving through the concrete. Over time that water intrusion weakens the panel’s surface and accelerates spalling on the edges.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

Here’s the honest pricing breakdown for San Antonio. A single post replacement with panel resetting runs $450 to $900 depending on footing depth and access. Replacing a 50-foot run of panels with new posts lands between $2,800 and $4,500. A full perimeter install on a typical San Antonio lot (120 to 180 linear feet) with one or two gates sits in that $3,500 to $9,000 range we quoted up top.
- Parts: $18 to $32 per linear foot for Tremron-compatible panels, plus $85 to $160 per post
- Labor: $1,200 to $3,800 depending on tear-out, disposal, and footing depth
- Gates: $350 to $900 each, installed and adjusted
- Footings: included, poured to 24 inches minimum depth (San Antonio building code requires below frost line)
Every quote includes tear-out and disposal of the failed section, new concrete footings, panel and post installation, gate hardware adjustment, and a written line-item price before any work starts. That number doesn’t change at the door. Luca Romano signs off on every fence quote himself.
DIY or Call Us?
Concrete panel fence work is deceptively simple-looking and genuinely dangerous when it goes wrong. A single Tremron panel weighs 80 to 120 pounds. A post weighs more. When a panel binds during removal and then releases, it takes fingers with it. We’ve seen it.
What you can safely do: confirm the series stamp, measure your panel thickness, and mark which posts are leaning with a 4-foot level. That information saves us a trip and gets you an accurate phone quote faster. What you shouldn’t do: attempt to pull a bound panel, dig out a post that’s still carrying weight, or “just shim” a rattling panel with whatever you’ve got in the garage. If a panel lets go while you’re under it, there’s no second chance.

FAQs

A properly installed Tremron concrete fence in San Antonio lasts 25 to 40 years on the panels, but the footings typically need resetting at the 15 to 20 year mark because our clay soil moves more than the concrete can tolerate. Panels outlast posts in this climate. That’s why we pour footings to 24 inches minimum and compact the base with gravel rather than setting posts directly in clay.
Yes, if the damage is edge spalling or surface cracking under 1/8 inch wide, a concrete repair mortar matched to the panel color keeps the section structurally sound for years. If the panel is cracked through its full thickness or the post channel is compromised, replacement is the only fix that won’t fail again. We’ll show you photos either way before you decide. Call (432) 547-6806 for a free assessment.
A single panel swap runs two to three hours including the new footing cure time before we set the panel. A 50-foot run is a one-day job. A full perimeter with gates is two to three days depending on tear-out and disposal. We confirm the schedule in writing before we start, and we show up at the time we said we would.
We stock common StoneWall Select profiles and the matching post sizes on our trucks, and we source Classic Stone and discontinued profiles from regional precast yards within a week. For specialty colors or custom panel textures, lead time runs two to three weeks. We’ll tell you the exact lead time on your specific panel before you pay for anything.
